Alex worked on the farm during the summer of 2009. He is a junior in Plant Sciences and has always been involved in outdoor jobs involving plant life. Since as long as he can remember, he has been helping his dad with vineyard production. They started building a large-scale vineyard in Arrington, Tennessee, about 7 years ago, which is where heI worked up until becoming a student at UTK. Since Alex has been in college, he has worked a spring and summer at the UT Gardens, and has done an internship with Dick Ott involving the maintenance of interior plants in green houses. Aside from plant work, one of Alex's main passions is music. He performs in a local band in Knoxville and enjoy playing a wide variety of instruments, such as guitar and keyboard. |
