Ryan Bolcar

Ryan transferred to UT in the spring of 2009, after receiving his Associates of Science from Pellissippi State Community College in the fall of 2008. He was accepted to UT and entered the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, where he immediately declared his major, Environmental and Soil Science, with a concentration in soils. His interest in the major focuses on soil and its relationship to agriculture and crop production. In the summer of 2010, he worked with Dr. Dennis West and David R. Kincer at the Alcoa Plant Sciences Experiment Station. He assisted them in their research with cultivar development in wheat and germplasm improvement in corn. Ryan worked with the OSCP Program in 2011.
